Printing A2 Image on 4 x A4 paper

Hi All,

Strictly this isnt directly a sketchup post but i have created a layout file from a sketchup model, in Layout the viewport is a 2d drawing set to 1:1000 scale as the model is in meters and i want to print it to scale. I am exporting to pdf and then opening in Adobe Reader but when i try to print as a poster it is spreading the image over 8 pieces of paper when it does fit on 4.

Here you can see when printing normally and set to actual size you can see that the image would fit on 4 sheets of A4 but when i select poster it does this.

Ive tried changing all the settings but it makes no difference.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Here are my files if you want to look at them.

Table Saw Brackets.skp (259.7 KB)
Motor Bracket Template.layout (297.3 KB)
Motor Mounting Bracket Template.pdf (18.0 KB)

Thanks in advance.

Dan

Looks to me as if you could reduce the paper size in LayOut so you can get it to fit on 4 A4 sheets.

I reduced the paper size in LayOut as shown. There’s no reason you can’t use custom sizes when you plan to use the poster print option from Adobe Reader.

Now the PDF will print on 3 A4 sheets.

Here’s the LO file, too.
Motor Bracket Template.layout (534.8 KB)

The printing adds printer margins to all the pages. That is why the print won’t fit on four pages. Does your printer support borderless printing?

Excellent thanks you are the man :ok_hand:

Aw shucks, but thank you.
