I HAVE A QUESTION REGARDING
AN EFFECT CAUSED BY THE BACK SIDE OF A SURFACE
WITH IMAGE MATERIAL IN PNG FORMAT,
WHEN I GET AWAY FROM THE MODEL YOU CAN SEE
THE MATERIAL THAT OVERLAYS THE PNG (FENCE)
AS TRANSPARENT (AND DISAPPEARS),
BUT WHEN I COME CLOSER YOU CAN SEE
WHICH IS DUE TO THE SAME TRANSPARENCY OF THE PNG.
IT HAPPENS ONLY WITH SOME IMAGES,
AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE EXAMPLE,
THE GRASS DISAPPEARS, BUT THE FENCE DOES NOT.
IF ANY OF YOU HAVE RESOLVED THIS PROBLEM
I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP.
I haven’t figured out exactly what the problem is but I think it’s actually the grass texture, not the fence. The same thing is not happening on the other side of the wooden fence.
THANK YOU DaveR, EXACTLY, THAT’S MY BIG DOUBT,
WHY IT HAPPENS WITH GRASS AND NOT WITH OTHER MATERIALS.
I HAVE PLACED OTHER TYPES OF GRASS AND THE SAME HAPPENS.
I DON’T KNOW IF IT’S THE GRAIN OF THE TEXTURE…?
Thanks Anssi,
in effect, the problem returned to me after open the file again,
but with this command that you tell me it is completely improved.
i didn’t know it,
thanks for the suggestion.
Ah, sorry about the characters,
I’m not trying to imitate Donald Trump,
I have the caps lock on because that’s how I type on my plans
when I’m working and I forget to unlock it.
Excuse me again.
The problem is that your grass has transparency, do what Mihai showed on his video and you won’t need to change the transparency quality, that could affect the performance of the file if it gets too big and with a lot of transparent materials.
Thank you for your comment francisquitof.
Not really,
the grass It is a full and compact material,
It has no transparency.
Without the “Transparency quality” option
It causes problems with other materials as well.
Even adjusting the grass like mihai.s did
I have the problem with the steel mesh
parallel to the bamboo fence
and that they are both transparent PNGs.
As you can notice in the image above.
Thank you very much for your comment.
