I’m Nam Nguyen from Febhouse. Today, I’m thrilled to introduce Dynamic Symbols – a lightweight SketchUp plugin I developed to help bring your architectural diagrams to life directly within your 3D workspace.

CORE FEATURES:

  1. One-Click Symbol Change (Keep Position, Size & Rotation)

Instantly switch between different symbol shapes with just one click. The plugin automatically maintains the original position, size, and rotation of your object. No need to manually align or resize anything!Dynamic-symbols-library

  1. One-Click Color Change

Change the color of your symbols instantly through the plugin’s clean UI—no need to open complex material menus. The system also automatically saves your last 5 colors for a much smoother workflow.

  1. Create Animated Diagrams

Turn static diagrams into animated sequences! Just select your symbols and click “Create Animation.” The plugin automatically generates the necessary scenes (Feb_F1, Feb_F2, Feb_F3) to form a seamless animation sequence. All you have to do is export the video.

WHAT’S NEW IN VERSION 2.3 (Just Released)?

I just rolled out V2.3 with major improvements focused on the user experience:

  • UI/UX Overhaul: Completely redesigned dialogs (Library, Animation, Color, About) for a cleaner, modern, and unified interface.

  • Live Color Updates: The Custom Color tool now instantly updates your “Saved Colors” palette when applied.

  • Custom Animation Transitions: Added a new dropdown in the Animation UI to easily adjust scene transition times (Off, 1.0s, 2.0s, 3.0s) before testing your animation.
