Hi I work with flat pack kitchens and am looking for a better design tool than 2020 that the company currently use. I am profiting in SketchUp and have been using it prior to this new role since 2019. The cabinets are modular and set sizes so they never change but there is currently 32 door and drawer fronts with another 4 that can be painted any colour of choice.
I need a plug in or possibly one built that we can set the cabinet sizes and just switch the doors and drawer fronts and add the bench tops and possibly any accessories that all come from Hafele.
I am not a big user of plug ins and don’t have much experience with them so any advise or direction on this would be great.

I know a guy who presented at our 2022 3D Basecamp conference that uses Cabinet Sense extension - https://www.cabinetsensesoftware.com/
What he showed was pretty impressive. He’s also presenting at Basecamp coming up in Nov if by chance you can attend - *note today is the last day for ‘early bird’ pricing - Register | 3dbasecamp
Dynamic Components might be a good solution for you.
I sent you a PM if you want to pursue this.
Kraftmaid isn’t the custom grade that Cabinet Sense addresses, but you could take a look at their dynamic components: 3D Warehouse

All the best.
Unfortunately Las Vegas is a little far for me to travel from Australia. I will look into the link you shared. Thanks
thanks will have a look.
Attached are a couple of dynamic components I wrote for my own use and have shared on the warehouse. A series could be developed for your product line and even serve as a marketing tool. The dynamic components posted have holes in them I know but I stopped developing when they suited my needs. You can change color and simple door style. Very basic but a window into whats possible. As mentioned there are people developing extensions for cabinets as a product.

Great, Is there a way of cataloguing them? or do you just save them in a folder in the warehouse?
Typically you would save your components in a folder in the sketchup path user/ appData/Roaming/Sketchup/Sketchup 2024/Sketchup it is best to organize them by type the folder you see above is only cabinets. Use others for other things, like appliances or furnature it makes them easy to find. Name the component to help identify it. From your description you might have a folder for each series or model of cabinet. The flextools component finder is a good way to find and apply them. You can contact me directly If you need more help.
If you are in business, the solution that makes sense is MOZIAK. It is the real deal. It will do anything you need. Call for a demo. Moziak is a monthly pay product, a business expense. Moziak has different packages depending on your needs. You can set up libraries, do custom add ons if needed. Differing styles and materials is what they are all about.
