I stress that my request would be an added OPTION to elect when desired, not a change to current Outliner Window.
Especially when traveling and away from my external monitor setup, screen space is at a premium and it would be very useful for me to have the outliner presented as semi transparent text over the top of the modeling space, similar to F360. The same functionally and hierarchy, just inside the modeling window.
