OpenCutList can't generate parts list

OpenCutList never finishes loading when I try to generate the Parts List… I see the “Calculating a world of peace…” message forever. It used to work. I accepted a Sketchup auto-update to Version 24.0.598 (on Mac OSX 14.3.1) and it’s possible it broke when that happened, although I’m not 100% sure. I tried reinstalling Sketchup from scratch, tried reinstalling OpenCutList, but nothing has worked. I’ve tried to make sure my components are assigned Materials, but when I try to “Edit part properties” in the OpenCutList context menu, I see the same loading message. The parts are all organized into components and were using Materials perfectly until this problem happened.

Any ideas on how to get it working again? I have tried to

Generate Parts List works instantly for me.

I did clean up the model first by fixing incorrect tag usage …

…and purging unused stuff.

Maybe you need to clean up the model before running OCL.

@DaveR - this was it! I am unfamiliar with cleaning up, so installed the Cleanup3 extension (SketchUp Extension Warehouse). This did the job and I can now generate parts again. Thank you!

if you have just installed new SketchUp 2024 update, I’m pretty sure that restarting your computer will solve this issue.
