Noobie Question

I’ve got an stl file I’d like to 3d print but I’m not sure how to go about it.It’s the outline of a bulldog that I’d like to add a color to the interior with the outline in black. I just want to fill in the interior and not have any color around the outside. How can I accomplish this? Hope I’ve explained this well enough. Below is a screenshot of the file I’m talking about

@LTH, How did you bring the outline into SketchUp? What was the original file type? It appears that there is a thickness to the outline…is this correct? Are you open to posting a link to the file, or sending it via a PM? Even the original file would be helpful.

Also, what kind of 3D printer are you using, with which slicing software?
