No colour pallette

Hi Folks

Been using Sketch up for a number of years and annually subscribe, never had this problem. Basically when i come to colour fill an object I press the colour bucket too but no colour pallette is displayed with range of colours that used to be with the materials etc. The only thing I can see that mentions colour is ‘colour sets’ which are not what I want. Can anyone help please ? Have a client wanting to see a represenation of an event I’m producing but with no colour fill options it’s not looking great

Hello,

I guess you moved on to the 2025 version ? materials have changed a lot with this new version. You can add old materials through the 3d warehouse or following these steps :

is that what you are looking for ?

post a screenshot of your material panel so we can see what you have

Are you using 2018? Or 2025?

Please update your forum profile:

Are you using multiple monitors?

When is the last time you used SKP and it worked?

What changed on your computer between the last time you used it and now?

Hey Paul, thanks for your reply, very much appreciated. Yes I’m using the 2025 version, here’s a screen grab of what I have in front of me

You are in the styles panel… not the materials panel.

What happens when you press B to paint a surface?

Do you understand how trays work? You can open and close trays as necessary and add and remove them. The default tray, by default, has the Materials tray. If you minimize the ones you are seeing it may well come into view.

Great, thanks so much, found it now after have a look at your walk through

Thanks Mike, yes defo running 25, I did try and a new account but it reverted back, I’ll try again an update

This is good that you found it and fixed it - but the screen shot shows the Styles pallet… which has nothing to do with the Materials pallet…
