New to SketchUp Pro - How do I create a Planting Plan?

Hi all, I’m new to SketchUp Pro and learning fast using videos etc. which has been great so far. However I’ve hit a hurdle, as can’t seem to find anything specific regards creating a Planting Plan for a Garden Design, using circles, symbols, shapes etc and subsequent reports, tables for a Plant List.

Any advice would be really appreciated.
