Network Licensing Not Working

I’ve had my network engineering group open ports in our firewall and the application still reports it can not reach the license server. Ports opened are/were 80, 8080, 443, 5053, and 50530.

The Engineer asked if those were supposed to be TCP or UDP ports. He assumed TCP. Maybe that’s why it doesn’t work.

The document referring to network licensing on the sketchup pro site also refers to opening the firewall to all domains under sketchup.com (*.sketchup.com). The engineer said he didn’t know of any firewall software interfaces that interpret rules this way.
The engineer indicated that there should be specific ip addresses or server names that can be configured in the rules.

Has anyone else had this problem and figured out a solution?

I appreciate the help.

the common TCP/IP of course, not unreliable UDP.

use the following:

license[N].sketchup.com

with [N] = 1 to 6

don’t use the IPs of the servers cause they may vary…

… and check in the advanced settings of the Windows firewall that the ‘Inbound Rule’ of SketchUp isnt blocking anything:
