Nested selection issue

Noticing some trouble with SketchUp 2025 Studio/Windows 11.

It seems when I click into a nested group or component, I have to select another area to keep clicking to go deeper. Kind of frustrating to have to click a slightly different area on the group or component all the time since starting to use this new version of SketchUp. Tested it on a few models with the same problem. Opened them in 2024 with no problems.

I don’t know if this is an issue that anyone else has noticed on their ends.

Yes, it is noticed in other topics, and Sketchup devs are on it to fix.

This would actually be nice as an option rather than a fix - I’d rather do an alternating tap & enter to go a few levels into a nested object with my clicks registering as selections rather than having to do a 7x click without moving the mouse to get to the bottom of something.

I dunno if the solution would be worse than the problem but I can totally see where this is frustrating…sometimes I wonder just how deep into a component or group that I am actually in?.. :laughing:

Use the outliner and you can go directly to whatever depth in the nest you desire. Plus, it shows you where in what nest you have open.
