hi. i got some solid groups nested inside different components.i need to select them at once to change their layer. just like a deep select that ignores componets.
And did you search the Extensions Warehouse for ādeep selectā?
Yea .right now Iām using curic to level plugin to select a nested object inside component 1 for example but it doesnāt let me to select secondth object nested in component 2 at once and the first object goes deselected.
Did you watch either of the two videos I posted? I used the terms ādeep selectā for the search and used the extension that appeared - Curic Deep Select
, not āCuric to Levelā. And itās working for more components at once, with nested groups/components.
Thatās right. There is 3 groups in each component. When you deep select them based on selecting groups,it selects all groups inside those 2 components. (6 groups) but i need to select group 1 in comp1 and group 1 in comp2 ā¦ In a row
You can use Selection Toys and select all instances of a group or component, all instances on the same layer, all active, etc.
I think you can do it from the outliner as well, so you donāt need to edit into a nested group.
Agreed. In this situation, Curic Deep Select does the job.
For the requirement in the original post, Curic Deep Select was fine, but for the new requirement, bmikeās method is ok.
Tnx all for helpingš
