Need to import assets from pack - best file type?

I purchased one of those random on sale asset packs a few months back and I now need to use some of the furniture models for a free lance job I picked up. Problem is they’re all in file types that don’t have a preset import option for SketchUp. I have 3ds Max, C4D, C4D Vray, FBX, Mental Ray, OBJ, and Unreal (uasset) file types for each asset.

I have loaded the models into Unreal Engine before and they’re actually pretty good. I just don’t know how to get them into SketchUp. For what it’s worth, I’m using SketchUp Pro 2019 on a mac (aka no data smith option).

What should I do?

Of the file types you list, OBJ and FBX are the ones that you are most likely to succeed with. For OBJ you will need an import plugin, I think @TIG has written one. For FBX you will need to use some other application like Blender, 3D Studio Max or Rhinoceros to import and then save in a format SketchUp can understand (Collada comes to mind).
