Need help recovering as much as the corrupted model as possible

Corrupted skp file, need recovery help from a skb file i have !!

Rename the .skb file with a .skp extension and try opening it in SketchUp.

If you want others to look into it, post the files here, or to a cloud service and share the link.

i checked and it says it has a 12.4% zero ratio, just need help recovering what’s left

it’s about half empty. Colin can recover components on mildly corrupted files, but at 50% empty, don’t hold your breath for too long.

like the other 2 that posted broken files this morning, better to restart from you latest safe point, don’t grab all the bloated models you see in the warehouse, and learn to purge / clean your model.

This file is all i have unfortunately, anything that can be recovered from this would be appreciated.

it’s 3am in colorado, so I’ll wager @colin is asleep.

but don’t wait from him to recover - or not - anything. start anew now. chances are very low to recover anything.

Not in a rush on my end, i’ll wait and see, thanks for the help

I couldn’t get anything either. This was the .skb file, I’m guessing the .skp would have even more of the file filled with zeros.

Going forward make sure you are saving your SketchUp file to the internal drive AND also save periodically to your Trimble Connect storage so you’ll have incremental backups in case you need them.
