Hello everyone, my sketchup file got corrupted and I am unable to recover that. It is very important to me. Anyone please help me with this. It was made in Sketchup pro 2024 in windows operating system with RTX 5070 graphic card. I am attaching the link to access the file below.
What can we do now?
if you have the skb file nest to the skp file, rename it to .skp at the end, and hope.
if it also doesn’t open, start again from whatever last point you have.
3 tips :
don’t grab 3d warehouse assets at random. most of them are super bloated and the more stuff you have in your file, the greater risk of corruption.
purge. purge purge purge. your file is almost 600mb, I don’t think it’s all actually in use.
save redundancy. you can use trimble connect, it’s included in the subscription, to save your project online. in case of corruption, you can revert an older save point. or you can do it manually on your computer, from time to time, you duplicate your file or save as. that way in case of corruption you can still go back to the previous save point.
I have tried recovering from skb file, but no use. And my model keeps hanging up during working on it. Can you give me any suggestions?
purge. and remove elements with far too many lines.

I can’t, but maybe @colin is able to recover something. He has more tools to use but you’ll have to share your .skb file too..
