As a Mac user, I would like to see Apple Numbers files natively supported along side Excel for inserting tables. I know you can export to an excel file but it’s an extra step. I currently still use Excel for the workflow integration but it would be nice to have other spreadsheet file formats as import options.
…and Export. Generate Report only exports to CSV, which then needs imported to Excel and then saved as .xlsx, creating unwanted intermediate files and processing time.
You can insert a .csv directly into LayOut without any intermediate steps.

@DaveR I appreciate your point. What I should have added was I find Excel easier for formatting of notes etc. If we could apply formating in Generate Report and send direct to layout, that would be a big step forward.
