Moving dimensions to another layer

At times, I put dimensions on a “page notes” layer inadvertently (using @Sonder excellent templates). I can cut / paste to dimension layer but the dimensions lose connection to model (dimensioning paper space now) and there is not the usual right click option to “Reconnect to model”.

Is there a way to get the dimensions to reconnect or I am I stuck redoing the work?

Select your dimension, and right-click on it to select it. In the context menu, there is “move to another layer”.

This does not disconnect the dimension from the object.
