On a PC, the copy and stamp option that are suppost to emulate S/U only work if you use the icon in the tool bar. They do not appear to work when you use a shortcut key. with a shortcut I still have to hold the Ctrl key to copy. I checkedit several times to check it. Who uses icons?
Hmmm…
What operating system? Please update/correct your forum profile.
Tapping M activates the Move tool in LayOut and copying and stamping work just as in SketchUp for me without holding the ctrl key.
I think he’s talking about the annotation issue.
When using “select cntrl” to drag and make a new copy, the auto text not only does not update the text for the new component/group, but after updating the viewport, the leader arm jumps back to the origin where you copied from!
Is it just me or should I just run a repair for Layout?
It’s not just you; that’s a bug. While you wait for the fix, after you move the leader, do a quick cut/paste and the leader arm will stay put.
I’m the same as Dave, if I tap “m” I do not have to hold down Ctrl for copying. I simply tap “m” then tap Ctrl, then copy works great. If I do not tap “m”, I can still move by hover/selecting, but then I do have to hold Ctrl for copying.
