Whilst LayOut has been morphed to adopt SketchUp style workflows, I’d love to see a bit go the other way! In SketchUp, we can currently copy when moving by holding down the CTRL key, it would be uber cool if the same occurred while rotating with the MOVE function.
As I spend most of my time in LayOut, I always assume this same function is available in SketchUp and do a forehead slap every time I realise it isn’t, duh!
BTW, I hope this function isn’t removed from LayOut now that I’ve made all aware of the differences.
Sorry @DaveR I realise I didn’t make it clear! I was meaning to get this function in SketchUp. I thought it would be obvious as in the SketchUp feature requests.
It’s not inefficient the way it works now! I can just copy with the move tool and then rotate that, easy! My issue comes in when flipping between LO and SU, I use the copy on move / rotate in layout a LOT, if I’m switching between LO and SU, I almost always assume I can do the same in SU, but I’m always caught out and need to undo. SU and LO interfaces now look so similar if I’m working in top down view in SU, when I flip to LO I’m thinking it has locked up, as I can’t orbit. Weird I know!
