How do I merge these two faces to create one face, to then ultimately add one photo texture seamlessly? It’s telling me it’s not solid, and that I can’t use any of the solid tools.

@michael924
The boundary edges of the two surface you wish to become one are NOT coplanar and therefore can not be a single surface. If you want SketchUp to visually treat them as a single surface, you can soften the joining edge. Currently it is hidden but you can expose it by using the “hidden geometry” feature. See attached gif.
I hope this helps

You don’t need to merge the two faces to apply a photo texture to them.
You should also reverse the faces so you are working on the front faces.
Did I draw this backward/upside down? What tutorial should I watch to better understand what you mean?
Without merging the two faces, I have to add a photo texture to both planes? But I want the image to be distributed between both planes, which isn’t happened with each plane not merged?
This worked. Thank you!
