Merge two 2D shapes to create one 3D object

Hi all,

Complete newbie here…

Can someone please assist me with merging shapes which have been drawn on sides of a rectangle box and push/pulled to create a shape that is of the intersecting portions of these shapes? Please see attached pics for referance.

Thanks in advance.

If you are using groups / components - edit the group / component, triple click to select all, right click ‘intersect faces… with model’ - then selectively delete lines / faces as needed.

If you are using Pro and you have properly built solid groups or components then you can use the solid tools.

If nothing I wrote makes much sense start here:

Thanks Mike, I have a reasonable understanding of compnents. Should I make each different shape its own compnent or group the whole model as its own component. This is how my model starts…

This is what im ending up with…

You don’t seem to have a reasonable understanding of components…

Make each arch a component.

Then try some of the steps above.

Ok, that makes more sense

Before you get too far along I do suggest doing the essentials lessons…

Here it is in its most basic form, pushpull the shapes through each other then use Intersect to make all the edges cut the faces, then delete the excess.
