Measurements box never showing value I typed

Measurements box never showing value I typed? but automatically showing huge value themselves during drawing e.g. 594748449mm, 2088566788mm? does my sketchup free crash or how to fix them? Thanks valuable tips in advance。

Did you somehow delete the 2D figure that would have helped you know the scale you were working on?

how should I restore it if I indeed accidently do so? even though it doesn’t sound like the cause I should say! bigger problem it never showing value I type in (actually the box never accept anything I type in )…

There is no 2D figure visible in your image. Do you have it in the model?

It’s not necessary to click that box (VCB), just type what you want and hit enter. Also, it won’t work if you try to click on it.

Thanks mihai.s! it works now ( I do different approaches before it won’t work but now, magic! have great week end pal

Try this:

1 - Reset the axes and make them visible.

2 - Select all. This select all the visible geometry in your model. If you have hidden stuff, unhide it first.

3 - Delete the selection.

4 - Create a square of, say, 10 ft x 10 ft or 3 meters by 3 meters or the size of a house or whatever that make sense. You may see nothing if you are zoomed out in order to see very huge objects.

5 - Do a Zoom Extend. You shall see your square.

6 - Save it and, maybe, use it as a template.
