Materials must be applied to the model before they can be edited

I am using sketchup pro 2024 for Mac and although I have applied the texture to my model, it is saying that the ‘materials must be applied to the model before theey can be editied’ so I try right clicking the model and it doesn’t have a ‘texture’ option in the drop down menu. my colour window doesn’t desplay any option to change the size of the texture as it appears to do on PC and older versions. Please can someone offer advice. thank you

Make sure you’ve selected the material thumbnail in the IN Model colors. (click the house icon) Then you can edit it. This is the same as it has always been on the PC, too.

Just like on the PC, the material must be applied to a face and not a group or component and you must be right clicking on a single face, not a surface. If your material is applied to a face, turn on Hidden Geometry in the View menu so you can reight click on a single face to get the Texture option in the context menu.
