Yes, this is possible. I’m developing SketchTakeoff for exactly this type of workflow. It creates material lists and cut lists directly from tagged groups and components in SketchUp, including lengths, quantities, areas, volumes and cut angles. It can also highlight the reported parts in the model. A Warehouse release is coming shortly.
