Managing Sketchup Trays

Using the “Manage Trays” option I have created a new Tray and have named it TP_COMP. I checked “Components” under the “Dialogs:” section. I then closed the “Manage Trays” window.

While inside the Tray, I clicked on the “Details” button located to the right of the “Search” window and chose “Open or create a Collection”. I navigated to a folder and selected a folder named “Doors1”. I repeated this sequence a 2nd time and selected a different folder named “Doors2”.

Now I’ve decided that I don’t want the “Doors2” collection to be included in this new “TP_COMP” tray.

I can’t figure out how to remove the “Doors2” collection from the tray. Any help would be appreciated.

The Components panel, no matter what tray it’s in shows all of the component folders. If you don’t want it to show, delete the folder from its location. There isn’t any way to pick and choose which folders will be displayed.in the list.

What version of SketchUp are you using? Are you still using Windows 7? Please complete and update your forum profile.

Thanks for the info. I just assumed that if there was an option to add Component Collections to a tray I could also remove them.

You’re welcome.

Yeah, no. The Components panel just shows the list of folders that exist in the Components folder or whatever location you’ve set for your components.
