Making walls fit the roofing's shape

Hello, sketchup newbie here!!
Im trying to make the walls fit the shape of the roofing, drawing the shape in seems like a really roundabout way, is there a tool to make it more efficient?

Thanks in advance for any tips!

Your profile says you are using SketchUp for Schools which is a web based version for young school children. With that version you can make the walls taller than the roof and then use Intersect Faces to split the wall faces where the roof passes through them After that, erase the unneeded parts. If you make the walls tall enough you can easily select the part above the roof with a right to left selection of the top of the walls. Then press delete.

If you make the walls and roof as solid objects you can trim the walls with the roof using the Solid tools.

There are extensions that can do this sort of thing too but those won’t do you any good in SketchUp for Schools.

Curic Extend is one extension that does that with SketchUp Pro.

Thank you,
Intersecting faces did the trick!

Hope you have a nice evening!

You’re welcome

Are you really using the web-based SketchUp for Schools?

You have a nice evening too.

Im not using the web version, i think i got kinda confused when making this account!

Im using an educational license with normal sketchup, i thought thats what they meant by sketchup for schools

It would Studio, then. Please correct your forum profile. IF that information is correct it makes it easier to give you assistance because we’ll know what tools you have available.
