I completely agree. A floor plan does not make a good scrap book item.
I think what was going on was that I made the doodle in my model. Saved it as a component but not to a file, just in model. Also put to a layer for doodle. But since it was in the model even though not seen, the sec planes expanded to include it. Sound right? Either way my LO viewers all showed my sec markers spread further to include the hidden stuff so my markers were off the page…

The key thing is that your doodles destined for the scrapbook (sketches slated for the scrapbook?) should be done in a file separate from your project files.
