Splendid
And all with SketchUp, not CATIA or the like. Bravo!
Who needs CATIA when you have vertex tools, quadface tools, subD and curviloft.
Impressive work!..Thank you for sharing!
Waoo!!!
I hoped to have ready this model for the draft, but for work and father reasons I wasn´t able to finish until now.
As you can see I used the low poly modeling methodology with SubD, one of my favorite ways to model organic shapes, the seams were made with flowify.
The Textures I made them with sketchup with a 3D model of the texture of a football using ambient occlusion on Gimp I improve the colors and created normal and height maps, finally the UV mapping was made with WrapR, one of the best if not the best plugin-software to do that kind of things and a fast render using enscape.
Here it´s Subdivided and a fas render made with Enscape.
It was made using native sketchup materials and the ne photorealistic style.
It was simple spare time project, if you can give me more ideas for my next spare time project I´d be very glad, or if any one wants to learn the process I can schedule a free class to show you my very well known methodology.
I have also some incomplete projects like the Ferrari F2004 and the Ford Gt 40.
