LayOut - Join Tool (Glue Function)

Good morning!

I have been running into a bug that has been found in SU2018 and now I have confirmed that it also happens in SU2019.

It’s not a huge problem, but it did take some time to figure a solution the first time I encountered it.

So I would be using the glue function while editing a shape to become one whole entity, and after selecting one piece of the shape (shown below):

then selecting the other piece (shown below):

I would then end up with the following anomaly:

Is there something that I am just missing when I use this function or is this a bug?

Can you provide the actuall LO file so we can see what you’ve got going on?

I have been getting this too.

It’s seemingly random for me and affects random LO files.

The workaround for me is to:

  1. Undo the problem join and and try to join from another direction. This might involve un-joining other parts of the shape. This can sometimes work.
  2. Delete and re-do entirely.
