Layout how to change dimensions of a rectangle

How can I change the length or width of a rectangle in Layout? Or the length of a line?
I can use the scale tool, but then I cannot enter the new dimensions in length units. I do not want to calculate the ratio of new length/ current length and type it in.

Drag the edge of the rectangle or the end of the line and then type the new dimension you want it to be. Remember to include the units. It’s the same way you’d do this with the Scale tool in SketchUp.

Thanks Dave. I did not enter the units, now it works for me too.

I start the drawing operation (Rect), Clicked to type the dimensions (w,h) but does not allow me to type.
