Layout Error Code 101, Unable to save

where are you saving too…

did you try other locations…

is the location ‘synced’ with iCloud [now a default setting]…

N.B. using periods in filenames can lead to issues…

Saving to a shared Google Drive location.
I tried to save it to my desktop (with a different name) and got the same error.
I don’t believe it’s synced w/ iCloud.
GTK, I’ll update when I get this to save.

Hey! Did you ever figure out how to circumvent this error? I’ve tried saving in multiple locations and it still doesn’t work.

Does that include into the Documents folder on your local hard drive?

And you are using SketchUp/LayOut 2016? Which OS version?

Yes! I’m using layout 2018 and mac os High sierra 10.13.6.
My documents folder seems to be only in the cloud could that be an issue?

Your profile says you are using SketchUp 2016. Please correct it and add the OS version.

Yes that could be the problem. It is not a good idea to be saving directly to or working on files directly from the cloud.

Try saving to the desktop or some other non-cloud location.

I turned off Icloud and its still doing the same thing. Moved all files to my desktop, still the same thing.
