Layout constantly slow- Could it be that I am working from files on Dropbox?

I work remotely with contractors and we share the files over Dropbox. My layout 2025 is hardly workable! Sitting here for hours waiting for it to keep functioning!

Could the issue be that I am working with the files through dropbox? I have always done this in the past but its been a few years I wasnt using Sketchup/layout. Or is it an issue with 2025??

Geez - 66 pages of Layout and now I moved them onto my desktop to work from which enabled me to actually use the file! BUT…now all the scenes are lost and I cant get Layout to reference the model even.

Luckily CHATGPT helped and I got them back - took 30mins
:hammer_and_wrench: Option 2: Use Select All to Nudge Them Back

  1. Click on a page with a :warning: viewport
  2. Hit Ctrl + A (or Cmd + A on Mac) — this will select everything on the page
  3. Tap the arrow key (left or right) once to nudge the whole selection
  4. Watch to see if a blue box appears around the missing viewport

:magnifying_glass_tilted_right: This forces LayOut to recognize that there’s still a viewport object there and sometimes brings it back into the selection scope.

Now Hopefully someone can help tell me how I can make Layout work so it doesnt crash!

Huge documents on very slow network drives won’t work, as you’ve noticed.

I see no crashes under your email on Bugsplat: if you can, please put your name or email or some identifying info in your crash and private message me and I’ll take a look at it.
