Use Hybrid mode instead. When exporting from LayOut, use the High resolution setting and no JPEG compression. With SketchUp’s flat colour planes, compression creates artifacts that increase the image’s apparent jagginess.
Use Hybrid mode instead.
Exporting from Layout using Hybrid doesn’t allow for anti-aliasing though. In the images from the original poster and myself, the jaggedness is from aliased rendering, not from JPEG artifacts.
the time involved doing that is not realistic for me.
Since this is still an issue, I want to offer a workaround.
The normal line styles indeed do not anti alias within Layout. However, Sketchy lines do. What I do is select a style with “Marker Super Fine”, then edit it to make it close to the default Sketchup style. There are other more solid line styles available too (e.g Straightlines01pix).
It is not the SAME as the default styles, but it certainly comes out anti aliased within layout, and looks good enough for my needs.
