Layout 2026 toolbars don’t have the Open & Save & undo etc. icons on any toolbar. The customize option does not list the command to enable adding icons to a toolbar set?

Yeah, I’ve just discovered this. Why have they removed functionality? Makes no sense. Very frustrating. Hopefully, this will be rectified very soon.

In the little edit window for the toolbars the tab “commands” is missing. There is only “toolbars” and “options”. So you can only remove or arrange symbols but you can’t add a new one. This is in the german version of layout 2026.
Further to the comments above; Just setting up LA2026. With regard to the toolbars and the way we used to customise them in 2024/2025, where are the Save, New, Presentation, Create PDF icons? Why is this function regressive? Also the dimensions icons used to be separated so that the linear and angular were separate. Not now. Why?

Just installed the 2026 version. I miss a lot of the icons as mentioned up here. Also I miss the icon “show Grid” (I found it under View, but it is not handy for me). And also I miss the “insert”-tool. I use(d) this tools very often. Instead of making SketchUp LayOut more functional, they made it less functional. WHY?
As has been mentioned, the developers are working on this.
You could use the default keyboard shortcut instead.
You could make a keyboard shortcut for this until they re-instate the toolbar button.
It wasn’t their intention to make it less functional. Put it down to teething pains related to fulfilling user demand to make LayOut look more like SketchUp.
BTW, please update your forum profile. It says you are using SketchUP 2020.

I took a look at my profile, but I can’t change f.e. the version of Sketchup (version 2020 is from a long time ago, haha).
Sure you can. Click on the H in the pink circle at the top right of the forum page. Then on the person icon, Preferences, Profile. Update the information and scroll to the bottom to click on Save.
