LayOut 2026 - linetypes do not display, but are fine in 2025

tldr; gridlines show up properly in LayOut 2025 but not in LayOut 2026.

With the general rule of only groups and components placed on user generated tags and geometry on ‘untaggged’ my grid lines (which have multiple nested parts, 2d linework [for plans] and 3d planes [for elevations], all of which are on different tags for control). At the highest level the groups (not nested geometry) are set to the tag with a linetype. LayOut 2026 appears to not respect the ‘default’ setting for the tag linetype they are set to and the linework needs to be put on the tag with the dash to display properly in LayOut 2026. In other words, my 2d gridline geometry(the lines) are on ‘untagged’, but multiple levels up, and other tags with linetypes set to default, they are set to a tag that has a dashed line type. LayOut 2026 shows them a solid line and will only be dashed line until I place the lines on the tag with the dash line type. Layout 2025 shows them as the dash they intended to be.

Upon further testing, and making of attached files, in raster mode, they show up properly, in hybrid or vector they do not.

I see what you are describing. I fixed incorrect tag usage.

And removed the tag from “Grid-lines_2D#3” leaving “Group#869” with the SP_Grid_Lines tag.

This is what it looks like in LayOut with Vector rendering now.

Looks to me as if the dash style for the lowest group or component overrides in the nest takes precedence over dash styles for tags given to objects higher up in the nest.

In a second test, I left “Grid-lines_2D#3” tagged with “SP_Grid_Lines_2D” and changed its dash style from Default to the same style you selected for “SP_Grid_Lines”. That also works fine.

I’m not commenting on how it should work. Just that this is the way it does work; at least in LO26 on Windows.

Thanks jsteacy for letting us know about your issue. We will be working on a fix for this.
