Lag issue with 2018

I started out using Sketchup2016 for a long term project in which I am designing a small town to use and Background for my comic series. Last month I converted to 18 and now when I work on the town, its lagging with almost any command/Tool I use.

Could this be because of the amount of buildings I have (AKA size issue)???

I ask because when I open up other small projects I have no lag.

I entered C:"Program as you said but nothing happen. Its still lagging.

You should look for instructions in the original thread that @mchandler is referring to. The forum display is cutting out most of the command string you are supposed to enter.
