For construction drawings, it would be amazing if the leader`s text box could be moved independently without disturbing the leader line (without exploding the leader).
See attached screenshot - I accidentally came across this ability… but wasn`t be able to recreate it again.
It`s a “good bug”! Please implement this editing capability in the next release, if you can
Hi @hnrkndr … yes, you can move the text independently of the leader without exploding the text. You actually stumbled upon the solution although it’s not intuitive.
Triple click the leader and the grips will appear on the ends of the leader lines. Grabbing either the appropriate leader line (not the grip), adjust the leader relative to where you’d like the text. In your example, it appears you want the horizontal portion of the leader to appear mid-way on your text box. Click outside the leader to end the edit. Now you can move the text box and the leader will maintain the edits you created.
Use copy style / paste style to quickly replicate your edit on the other leaders if desired.
@PaulMcAlenan Those options are grayed out unless you select something editable first. In this case, select your leader and those two options are available under the Edit drop down menu.
Side note: I just did a quick test to batch update the text offset on multiple leaders and I was only able to replicate size and color properties but not the offset so I stand corrected there. I seem to recall I was able to batch edit the offsets in previous versions
