Thanks for sharing this experience and hanging in there. If you are still experiencing performance issues after all of this, I hope you’ll continue coordinating with our support team. Ultimately, the software has to be usable for you! If it’s not, you can request a refund within 14 days of purchase.
Believe it or not, there is a 6th email that you should have received from us, pointing you to the My Apps page on SketchUp.com, from which you can launch the app. It’s easy enough to remember the URL (app.sketchup.com), but we agree with the several posters that we can do more to help people bookmark or quickly return to the app. This is on our radar! In any case, we are also looking into why you did not receive this email.
