Issues with SketchUp make 2016 on Mac

Lots of strange things going on with my original SketchUp install, and in the end I deleted the original and downloaded again.
Now ( and was one of the issues I had with the original install), I have a simple drawing and when move/copy tool is selected and a approach a point on an object the screen shifts and shows another open window - Safari - but with the SketchUp tool pallet still showing. I can’t stop the screen changing, and quite literally can’t draw anything as the screen keeps changing.

Any ideas…???

Do you have multiple desktops (or multiple monitors)? I saw something like what you describe - the viewport would stay on one desktop while all of the tool palettes jumped to another. I think that resetting the workspace may have fixed it for me, I haven’t seen it in a while now.
