When I import images from my computer as materials, is there a way to rename the materials? My model is getting a little confusing because the names of the materials seem to be arbitrarily made by sketchup, like “image1” and “image2”. It would be great if I could rename them.
There are no material editing options in the free web version.
Why would renaming a material be considered editing? Especially as there is no control over what the name is in the first place…
Not my decision. Maybe they figured it wasn’t a feature that most hobbyists would care about or maybe it’s part of differentiating versions. But if you want the option to do things like like that you either need SketchUp Shop or you need a desktop version.
