Is it seriously impossible to use non-English fonts in SketchUp Go? Working here in Korea, I hit this wall and honestly started wondering if this program just straight up blocks anything that isn’t English. I know the desktop version can handle it, but I really need to vibe with SketchUp Go on my laptop for quick, light tasks on the go. What’s the move, everyone? Any workarounds? A system update for non-English typography would seriously save the day.

I went on google and copied a few words in Korean.
흥부와 놀부 (I searched for “Korean text” and copied that bit from the first result, hopefully I’m not insulting someone in the process)
pasted them into the 3d text tool (in SU web), picked a generic font that should have a very good coverage like open sans, and as I clicked on ok, the tab crashed (you can see in the background my try in another font that doesn’t cover Korean)
so yeah, either a couple of fonts for the major non-latin languages, or a couple of fonts that are compatible, but most of all, it need to not crash the tab ^^"

I appreciate your innovative approach; however, that method involves converting the text into 3D rather than simply using a standard font, which consumes a significant amount of resources. I am very grateful that you took the time to consider the challenges I’m facing. The Korean text you used comes from a classic Korean tale about two brothers—one wicked and the other kind. In the story, the kind younger brother(흥부) saves a bird and is rewarded, whereas the wicked older brother(놀부)breaks a bird’s leg only to heal it later, ultimately facing punishment for his actions. “놀부” is a name synonymous with a mean-spirited person.
We sometimes call programs like Nolbu the greedy character from the Korean folktale, when they induce you to make a payment as if they will help with everything, but do not support Korean fonts.
yeah, my bad, I also tried using the normal text tool, but that wouldn’t let me paste stuff properly. only in the 3d tool could I see a breaking point, that it’s not only the font but something more, probably the encoder itself
