Hi all

I hope that you can help. I’ve just started using sketch up and wondered if it’s possible to download objects from 3D warehouse when using free web version?

Thanks for your help

Sarah

Yes. You can access the 3D Warehouse from SketchUp Web.

Open the Components window on the right side and enter your search terms.

Hi Dave

Thanks for your help once again. OK so I’ve got that open but when I click on the item I would like it doesn’t look like it’s doing anything.

BTW see that my problem with Sketch up Web not letting me save is pretty common and happening to other people too.

Thanks once again

Sarah

Hi

Another question sorry! Is it possible to colour or add textures to items from the 3D warehouse? I have a pretty basic outline of a 2 seater ikea sofa I’d like to add colour or make it look more interesting.

Thanks

Sarah

I’d suggest you spend a little time exploring the basics of sketchup.

#7

Thanks. I’m doing that but all help is gratefully appreciated.

The answer to your question is, yes. You can add or change materials. As Box said, you should spend some time learning the basics of SketchUp before you dive in too deep.

OK will do. I’m watching the tutorials. And practicing and playing.

I would have linked to relevant videos but am hamstrung at the moment by my connection and device.
No doubt others will point you to some of the excellent getting started videos.

Hi Mike thanks for sending me the links. I’ve already seen these tutorials which are very helpful to start getting my head around Sketchup. There area few differences with the Web version though I think. I will see if I can find some more videos.

Any help is gratefully appreciated.

Many thanks

Sarah
