Was hoping I could import items from SketchUp 3D warehouse into a drawing created using SketchUp Free, but link to 3D warehouse only allows model to be uploaded. Is downloading disabled in the free SU version?
You can indeed import models/components from the 3D Warehouse into SketchUp Free. Use the 3D Warehouse.
Go to the Components window on the right side and search the Warehouse for the component you want. Select it and insert it into your file.
