iPad Pro Scan-to-Design not available

I have an iPad Pro 11 4th generation with LIDAR. I also have a Studio Pro license. I followed a Sketchup UPC code link to Sketchup with Scan-to-Design, but the Scan-to-Design option does not appear in the menu, or anywhere in the app that I can find. I was watching a training video that shows the presenter selecting the “Settings” button, and he shows “Scan-to-Design” in the drop down menu, but when I select that same “Settings” button I get “Preferences” (not “Settings”) and I do NOT get the Scan-to-Design option. Any ideas?

I’m having the same issue
No icon for scan to design.

Which iPad are you using?

Show us a screenshot of your SketchUp screen. Press the SketchUp logo in the bottom left for “about” and what version of the app are you using?

There were some issues with iPadOS 15, and 16 works better. Your 5th gen iPad can run iOS 16, could you try that, and see if scanning then shows up ok?

I am having the same issue. My Sketchup Version is 6.5.4 (2088) My iPad is 17.5.1 6th generation. I need to start a new project, and the Scan to Design (which I have used before) is no longer available. I see the information video, but the icon to start the program is missing. Please advise!

I have seen cases where the icon for a tool isn’t in the right place. If you touch the magnifier icon at the top left, and type ‘scan’, does the tool show up then?

Thank you so much for your reply! I feel pretty stupid. I had to hit the “create new” button, and then it showed up… before it was on the front page, which is why I was a little lost… so now I’m good. Again, thanks for responding, and sorry to waste your time!
