Introduction. Issues importing filed with radius

Hello all. My name is Dwight. I use sketchup to help develop prototypes for production. I need to import a file into sketchup to create ortho views and a perspective view that can be used for getting pattens. Iv tried exporting the design from illustrator, then importing as a .dwg, and a .dxf. The problem is the file has several radius’s that are not smooth in Sketchup.

Is there a way to get a better quality import of a vector image into Sketchup Pro?

SketchUp does not offer true curves. It approximates all curves with a series of straight segments. If you redraw the curves in question, you will be able to increase the number of segments to the point that the “jaggies” are not visible, but you can not eliminate them.
