Can we insert an element (paste) or draw a line or edit, into a group without having to ungroup it and regroup it.
The short answer is no.
I would say yes. Just draw the new entity you want to add to that group, then select it, go to edit menu and cut. After that, double click the group you want to add the entity to, and paste inside the group.

Jespizua, you’re right, you can do this. But you cant use the knife or the glue tool on a line segment, or draw a new line attach to it.
Ahh, I misunderstood your question, you are right, no way of doing that.
I would like a solution to this as well. It’s high on my list of frustrating features. Just registering my preference.
