Hi George, (@Geo), speaking of bamboo structures…
Two days ago I visited Dordtyart, an old shipyard hall nearby where artists could experiment. Glass, wood, steel, you name it. This went on for a couple of years and this weekend happened to be the last few days. (what will be the future of this beuatiful old steel hall is still a mystery).
One of the art-experiments was a woven structure of bamboo strips. It looked like a yacht hull, upside down. Excelent material.
Just add a few (thousand) more strips and some epoxy …
