I’ve rigged some models of people to use in my SkethUp, but am unable to import them and wondered if anyone had any ideas?
As good as Chaos Cosmos is for models of people, I could really do with some more specific examples for my work. I created some very basic characters and rigged them into the poses I wanted using DAZ3D. I’ve tried to export the following formats with the following results when I’ve imported them into both TransMutr and PCON.
FBX- Uable to import at all
OBJ- Models imports rigged but loses texture
DAE- Model imports textured but unrigged
I’ve sen some forum posts about this subject but they’re mostly all from almost 10 years old.
What are you using to import the OBJs? I use Transmutr to help re-path the OBJ materials prior to saving in SU format. There’s a trial so you can test before buying - if this is something you do a lot of, may be worth it.

I do like Transmutr, but I’m having some problems repathing the materials. Alongside the OBJ, I got the .MTL file, which I added to a seperate folder. When I’ve tried to import the OBJ into Transmutr, it just tells me it can’t find the textures. Am I missing a step?
