Importing GDS files into free version of SketchUp

I was wondering if there was a way of importing GDS files into the free version (online) of Sketchup? I know that it is possible for some versions by using a GDS importer and Ruby script.

I want to be able to convert my 2D designs from Klayout into a 3D format without having to draw them again (which is what I’m having to do at the moment with Sketchup).

No. There isn’t an option for that in the free web version.

You could try SketchUp Make 2017. It can run extensions.
