I generated some areas in Global Mapper, a GIS software and exported them to DXF to be imported in SKP.
I can export them in a way that they will be only polylines and they will import finely in SKP but then I will have to create faces inside them and colour them again.
I can also export them as hatches and if I open them in a CAD software, they will retain the surface and the colour but they will not be imported in SKP.
Is there any way to import hatches directly in SKP without losing colours and surfaces?

And what do these polylines look like in SketchUp? 2D, 3D?
Is it difficult to create those faces and color them?
Hatches are textures that can’t be imported by sketchup, if it’s a 3D model it must have surfaces, sketchup can import 3D dwg files with its faces.
